I guess that's one good thing about the new electronic big board that the old flip style board couldn't have accomplished!
You'll be happy to find out you are wrong. The old flip boards did indeed have Yankee Stadium as a destination... along with some other odd places that I'm not sure have been off the books for a while.

Speaking of exotic signs, the old electric roll signs over the concourse
hallway going toward track 11 out of the main concourse had electric roll
signs with a curtain in each one of them. They were most interesting to
watch when the gateman used their key to change them. Many interesting
New Haven Railroad destinations on them: Hyannis, Winsted, Worcester,
Portland, State of Maine, Neptune and Cape Cod among others.
On the other side were many different New York Central destinations too.
I hope those curtains ended up in good hands after these signs came down.
