Hello guys. i have a question that's been on my mind since i began pondering a transition to the railroad industy.im a fairly young guy (25 years old),i joined the US NAVY when i was 17 years old, served 3 years and got out and became a truck driver for swift transportation(which is the equilvalent of what csx is in the railroad industry).my time ended at swift in june 2009 when i was involved in an accident in which a 4 wheeler side swiped me on my blind side while trying to pass my rig.i was not ticketed for the accident nor was i at fault, however,i was terminated for this incident 8 months later when my company started doing a driver review.i miss working for swift but i feel accomplished for getting class a cdl.i want to apply for csx but i am not sure if this involuntarily termination will hender my chances with possibly getting on with csx or for that matter, any railroad company.my heart tells me to tell truth on the application and see what happens because i dont want to get hemned up later for falsifyin info or some such.so i guess my question is can being fired from one big company keep you from being hired by another big company.(swift is also a customer favorite of csx,i have hauled many intermodal loads from railyards before.
