For anybody who knew Homer Gillete - serving on C&O/Chessie/CSX Lake Michigan carferries until the end of railroad involvment, I believe 1982, he was a wealth of knowledge and quite sharp on details as far back as the 1940's. Homer passed away recently, and we've all lost a real treasure.
