The self-propelled steam motor railcar is a particularly rare and quirky type of vehicle. Not many are left around the world, but on different continents there are a handful, several even in operating condition.
Here is one such green "Dream Machine" from 1904, with a vertical boiler and just one driven axle. Basically a powered 4-wheeled coach with 32 seats in! And all that right on the main line and the national network, whizzing past regular service trains.
