Drove by through the rain tonight and noticed very bright, blue lights on the platforms. Two on each. Looked like some sort of blue screen and white noticeable in the night from Wellwood ave/Pinelawn.

Those are information wi-fi centers, they contain two buttons: One is red for Emergency reasons, and the other is for information. They are also charging stations for electronic devices.

Stony Brook after restoration has them and Port Jeff is in the phase of getting them! Pretty much all stations, that we’re renovated will get them as well as all key stations. Not all of them will get them at once, but are in the phases of getting them!

They recently did work at Brentwood, Central Islip, and Northport by restoring their depots. At Brentwood and Deer Park they are in the middle of reconstructing new ramps with Solari signs at the ramps, and energy-efficient lighting. These will replace the cup lights or as some LIRR enthusiasts have coined them as "Prison Lights." Despite the fact that the Ronkonkoma Double-Track Project was officially completed in from mid-August 2015 to mid-September 2018, they are still improving existing infrastructure along the branch. One big project is modernizing FARM with new crossovers, and demolition of existing signal gantries being replaced by small pedestal signals that you see at DANCH, JS, PILGRIM, CI, OCEAN, and POND.
