GE Repower Projects

I am curious, has GENERAL ELECTRIC considered such a project like their competitor EMD "The 710 ECO locomotive" with a few of their older or the lease turn back locomotives? Or is it this,are they concerned with the newest models the GEVO series locomotives especially now that the cost of Fuel is rising daily?

It takes money to make money and generate sales ..

They may have something similar on the drawing board but I haven't heard anything yet.

In other parts of the world, GE has been very successful in taking older, less efficient locomotives and modernizing them with new FDL engines, BrightStar electronics, etc.
