Where can I find information on the locomotives GE built for China. I would like to know how they adapted the engines to such a high altitude.
As a GE locomotive fan, I've been curious, and have been keeping my eyes open: zilch! If you find any detailed information, please let us know.

These locomotives have been discussed in a few strings on this forum and the "Gelocos" Yahoo Group: you can check the archives to see if anything of interest got posted, but (other than a claim that the trucks were fabricated in Australia-- they look very similar to the lightweight version of the GE "rollerblades" truck used on the Australian NR class) I don't remember much technical information.
