I saw a slide on EBay that had a DD35B demonstrator sandwiched between 2 CB&Q Locomotives. Did the CB&Q test these DD35Bs or was is just on it's way to somewhere else?

Interesting. Is the slide dated? The DD35 demo set was built in the Summer of 1963 prior to the start up of the "35" production line.

I wonder if the Q was trying the unit. It could be that EMD intended to demonstrate this unit for UP, which did buy the DD35. If this was the case, it may have been on a GI train.
