CF-7 paint schemes

Post by EDM5970 »

I'm aware that the earliest CF-7s were painted in the mostly blue switcher scheme. When did they start painting the CF-7s in the Bluebonnet scheme?

Specifically, how was 2453 (rebuilt from 237C in 6/77) painted while still on the ATSF? Also, is there a decent website with a lot of CF-7 info. and photos, beyond what is in the TRP book?

Thanks for any info-

I may not be able to help you out with info on CF-7's but can only direct you to this link which is full of hundreds of ATSF Photos.

Jim has a ton of info on Santa Fe Fs including CF7s. You'll probably spend a few hours looking at all the data in here!
