I know the F units were replaced by GP40-2s but does anyone have post 1977-76 pics of B and O covered wagons in service?

There's a softcover C&O book written by Thomas Dixon. It has many pics of both B&O and C&O F/E's in service in later days, not sure if post 1967.

I thought the only Chessie System F units were some Circus Scheme ex. Western Maryland units.

So all E and F units were gone by 1972 sans the wm units?

B&O F-units were still in service on the ex-BR&P at East Salamanca, NY in August, 1974.

Any pics of this?

Took many photos and slides of the B&O on the ex-BR&P East Salamanca-Rochester 1969-1985. Do not own a scanner and have no way to post any of these, however. The F-units were seeing their last days on the BR&P lines in New York in 1974. They were replaced by second generation EMD units by the next year.

You could send them my way - they say you can't take it with you!
Slides don't last forever, so you might try to get some scanned.

I met one of the nicest people I've known in my life at the B&O Lincoln Park (Rochester) roundhouse - the head mechanic, Leo. The crewmen knew him as "Fido." I met him inspecting road power in 1972. He let me photograph most anything that I cared to, or follow him around as he serviced the units. Heading into an F7's engine room, "ya don't have to be scared, just don't touch nothin'."

Cab and engine room, road number unknown, 1973:

One of the last B&O F units I found in Rochester was late 1975, with a nice mix of paint jobs.
