I noticed that my cell phone's SEPTA app transitview often shows a distorted unreadable map, usually also when "next to arrive" isn't working. Mainly what happens is that when the trolley is seriously delayed it, or even all trolleys, disappear from next to arrive, and transitview may or may not show them at all, may show them on streets very far removed from their regular route, or might briefly flash a reasonable location for the vehicle, then switch to a very unreadably zoomed in map that doesn't respond to my sticky finger trying to resize or navigate the map.
And now for what seems to be the workaround. The last 3 times this has happened I was able to get a good map from transitview just by adding a 2nd route. Last week when the 13 trolley wouldn't display I added the 11, then Saturday for the 44 bus I added the 38 bus, and yesterday for the 104 bus I added the 120 bus. For those of you who ignore the diesel stink buggies those bus pairings' routes are not far from each other on the map.
One day I might try it with 2 routes that don't run near each other, like maybe see what the transitview map shows for simultaneous 101 Media trolley and 66 trackless.
