Hudson-Bergen Light Rail West Side Branch Extension — official website
Lackawanna Cutoff Passenger Service Restoration
Latest status: project has gone out for bids to restore Roseville Tunnel and track to Andover multiple times since December 2020, with a contract finally awarded on 6/21/22. Culvert work at Andover station was expected to be done by Q2 2021, but ultimately was folded into the Roseville Tunnel contract. Work finally started in Jan 2023.
NYSW Passenger Service Restoration — official webpage
Latest status: study began in summer 2018 and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2021. Public meetings were held in January-February 2019.
Northern Branch HBLR (was DMU) — official website
Portal North Bridge Replacement — official website
Latest status: official groundbreaking took place on August 1, 2022, and the project is under active construction which can be observed while riding the train between Newark Penn and Secaucus.
