I've been noticing that the NYGL passenger cars did not travel back to Port Jervis after the Lackawanna rail fest. They are still sitting in various places in the Binghamton Yard. Anyone have any idea why?

They likely will not go back until the Spring when some work is done around the turntable area.

Are they possibly safer in Binghamton then Port Jervis also?

maybe. but that stuff was sitting up in port jervis for a while without any incidents that i've heard of.
