Will they ever learn?
MassLive.com wrote:A company that owns and operates a Massachusetts railroad system has been ordered to pay a five-figure settlement after violating federal whistleblower laws, federal labor officials say.
. . .
The company was ordered to pay the employee $10,000 in compensatory damages, $75,000 in punitive damages and attorney's fees. Additionally, it must re-train managers and employees on reporting procedures and expunge any reference to the reported injury and hearing from the employee's record.

The MassLive.com report is a basically a repetition of the 10-19 OSHA Region 1 release: https://www.osha.gov/news/newsreleases/region1/10192018" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Additional information may have to wait for additional legal action as shown in FindLaw of a 2011 Waterville incident decided in a 2017 case: https://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-1st-circuit/1857319.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .

I know I don't often seem like an optimist, but they just might learn. Ownership did learn to deal with leaky power after enough fines. Mebbe enough fines will also prove instructive on the subject of FRSA.
