Replica, plate, or what?

Post by trainspot » Sat Nov 08, 2008 11:41 pm

I was asked to inquire about this, I'm curious if it was a new style of plate, or done by an admirer!
Its a flat aluminum plate 1/16 inch plus thick.
14 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.. Upon closer inspection it appears to have been painted gold, then stenciled with black.. It is a very professional stencil job...it is perfect.. and no mounting holes.

Ask Hank, he'll have a decent idea. Looks nice, but I've seen some folks making repops of plates. Not saying this one is, but some guys actually make them, and sell them as the real deal. Looks sweet, that's for sure!
