They're certainly learning from mistakes as things progress. But at least they're trying something.

I also understand there are gripes about money going to foreign TOC's. But unfortunately the domestic TOC's seem to be the bad actors. Isn't the big fracas with ECML and Virgin Trains East Coast actually 90pct owned by Stagecoach?

For those not aware, Virgin Trains East Coast operator gave up the franchise, and the gov't is back in control under the name London North Eastern, or LNER. Many are quick to pin this on Virgin, but I think Stagecoach owned a large majority of VTEC. Not to be confused with Virgin Trains, seperate from VTEC, and mostly owned by Virgin.
