So there is a rumor 917 is out and only 4 remain in service. Apparently, Friday was the last run for 917. So much for 917 being the last one if true.
It is all about the details. Without it, there is no story

However, they still need some and 908 as well as the 927 both made it past their dates. As a matter of fact, 927 just got finished. They may do the same for 917.

The 927 is sitting in Baltimore coupled to a Marc train as of 2/14/16. I have seen the 917, 942, and 946 all within the last week (mostly on Marc trains.)

Spotted the 946 this afternoon in Marc service. Saw the 917 and 923 in Wilmington coupled to diesel. Looks like a trip to to to Bear is forthcoming.

942 and 946 are in service for MARC. Rumor has it that 927 was supposed to pull the ceremonial last run today on special train 811, but I haven't been able to confirm it. If not, it's probably assigned to MARC also.
Thanks, do you know when 811 is supposedly scheduled to run and where it is supposed to run to/from?
I have no idea. All I know is that it's supposed to run today from Boston to Washington. It's just a rumor, and I haven't heard too much about it. I'll keep you posted.
