Word was recently received of the death of ths gentleman, creator of the "Triumph" series, a lavishly-illustrated and technically-focused series on thr Pennsylvania Railroad, plus several volumes on the most-heavily-trafficked portions of the Baltimore and Ohio.

Although Mr. Roberts wa given to an occasional "tall tale", and a somewhat earthy sense of humor, his work fills a large gap for those of us who weren't around for a lot of the show.

Just discovered this, while searching online for more volumes of the Triumph series. Awful news. :(
