Wasn't the train scen in this movie filmed on a SP spur line outside of Cabazon, California? I know in the scene where he runs from the dinosaur attraction, he runs across a field to a track, probably nearby. And I think Cabazon was located on the SP (now UP) Sunset Route, if i'm not mistaken. Also a good shot of a SP (although patched up here) Alco S-6. Perhaps someone can figure this out.

Also wasn't it quite peculiar, that Pee-Wee gets on the train in Cabazon, and gets off in San Antonio? I can't think of a local going that far...lol.
