Is it going to attract enough traffic to justify the building cost? Freight rates are going to rise, and one user has already said they might switch back to Road freight.

I think this is a very long term investment .
Until the international container traffic gets up and running , theres not going to be much frieght on it .

a group of Nz rail fans have just been over to ride the Ghan to Darwin , i have not heard how that went yet .
