Does the R&N still run down the Lehigh line from Pittston area? I was checking out Big Mike's book and was wondering. I know a lot has changed since that book came out about 15 years ago. I want to head up to the Lehigh Gorge area and catch some LHGRY action out of Jim Thorpe. A freight would be a bonus.

Its a night time railroad in the gorge unless CP 259 or 13 T are running late. Everything seems to run between 9Pm and 8am.
That's a shame. There was a time (more than 10 years ago) when I used to bike the trail almost every other weekend, and sometimes caught three or even four freights in daylight.
