New Jersey Railfans should be well aware of the rebuilding of the BR&W line from Ringoes to Lamberville by now. The railroad held a fundraiser, purchased a tie replacement machine, purchased ties and spikes and goes to work with mainly volunteer crews. AFAIK the railroad is now half way on its goal to Lambertville. They started late last year and should have trains running on that line again by 2017. Just goes to show where there is a will there is a way. Its a bigger project down near the shore but CMSL may wish to look into what the BR&W is doing and try something similar to rebuild the line to Cape May.

It usually works better if your a 501(c)3 like the BRRHT is, not a for profit common carrier.

Discussion here won't help get things moving but you do bring up a good point. The BRRHT is in essence a living history museum and they can do things differently. Non profits have received grants in the past although state grants to the non-profits like Cold Spring Village have now dried up. No purpose in beating a dead horse but when that line ran to Cape May it was a very nice trip. I am glad that we had the opportunity to ride the RDC's down that way.

There was apparently some brush clearing on the far south end of the railroad yesterday between Cape May and CANAL. We can only hope that good things may be in the not-too-distant future.

Has anyone observed any repair activity up in Dennis?

Does anyone know what the plans are for his unit? I like the application of the CMSL logos.
#2015 has been helping out with the switching duties in Tuckahoe whenever CA-51 brings cars down.

The CMSL has announced their winter schedule, and opened up ticket sales. Some days they have the normal Tuckahoe-Richland service, and others they are operating out of one station only.

They've introduced "Limited" Service which is a one hour round trip, based on customer requests, for families with little ones who get a little itchy with the longer rides.
