CSX will begin in a few months the construction of an intermodal center in
Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, which will help create hundreds of jobs.

American railway company, based in Jacksonville, Florida, will invest $ 12
million in this project. Construction will begin in spring 2012 and the site
should be operational in 2014.

The operation of the intermodal center is expected to generate 436 jobs.
Development work should create 662 more in the field of construction.
According to CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan, the intermodal center will benefit
from the existence of a direct connection to Highway 30 and with the Port of
Valleyfield, fostering the link between rail, sea and highway.

"These facilities will be connected to our network which has 33 800 km of track
serving 23 states in the eastern United States," said Sullivan.

Facilities Salaberry-de-Valleyfield will be connected to those CSX has in
Syracuse, United States.

From Syracuse, the goods may be transported to the New York market and to the
cities of the east coast, or to the CSX intermodal center located in suburban
Chicago, towards the west coast.

The center is expected to generate a traffic of 47 trucks per hour in the area,
from 8 to 19h, Monday through Friday.

CSX said it will meet the standards of the Department of the Environment, from
a study by engineers of the firm SMi.
