Hi. I thought I would share my progress in trying to create a virtual (3d) version of a USRA Light Mikado. Specifically I am working toward those that ran on the Rutland Railroad. My objective is to create as realistic a version as my references will allow. Right now I am working on the engine trucks (if you look really carefully at the picture, you can see at this point it only has front wheels, no truck). I have a web site where you can monitor my progress and help out with information if you want. ( http://trainperson99.home.comcast.net ).
I recently obtained one of the NYCSHS's mechanical drawing CDs and that has provided a wealth of information, but I am always on the lookout for more information.
I also recently did a post in the Fallen Flags/NYC thread http://railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=92932 trying to see if my brake rigging setup was correct.
Any comments, or if you notice anything incorrect in the pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Jay
