Some quick question what is UP commuter control and what do they do? I assume that it is in that glass house area at ogolvie? Finally are they like dispatchers? Thanks in advanve.

The folks at UP commuter control are not dispatchers, they're more like sentinels, or guardians of the UP portion of Metra's network, so to speak. Crews will call them for police/ambulance assistance, to ask for announcements of platform changes, to give reasons for delays if they're running late, among other things...
