Two unusual consists have popped up on the north side!
1) Full-bilevel set with 1721 (back from years of repairs) and 1706 mid-set
Consist is 2010-912-734-732-1706-1721
Appears on tracker sometimes as 1721 sometimes as 1706
2) Normal consist with 1700 mid-set (next to loco)
Consist is 1063-1700-9XX-comets-1711
Appears on tracker as 1711

My guess is that 2010/1721 set was made for the "Salem Rush" (which is odd as we usually steal a southside set for this), though I'm not sure about 1063/1711

Hey Eamon, do you think you could find out the full consist with Rolling stock # for the 1711/1063 set

1129 is back north, with one oddity on it's consist: 806! (consist is 1129-806-3 comets-1802)
8XX series cars usually aren't seen north (besides the full-bilevel trains for Salem Services) so this is very interesting to see. It's good news to me though! I hate the terrible 9XX car windows and also dislike the lack of interior & exterior signage.

There’s been rotem blinds for the second batch getting accepted and south along with control coaches. Hence why older rotems or first batch get sent north.

I'm suprised they don't send more 900s north.

By any chance did they do anything with the full Bi sets?

Not sure where the best thread for this is, but just spotted an unusual (for these days) consist outbound on the Fitchburg. 407 just went west through Shirley with what looked like a flat-flat-bilevel-flat-flat consist. According to Pantograph, the cab car training is 1637. So at least one of the 1600-series cabs looks to be back in service.

Consist is 1 HSP46-1 MBB, 2 Comets, 1 Rotem, 2 Comets, and 1 Comet (CTC) 1637.
It is the polar express consist iirc, but they must have an equipment shortage or something so they are running it normally.

Thanks. Hard to get an accurate car count through the trees from my home office, but the lack of a bilevel on the end stood out!

OCTR202 -- The 1637 had been last used on the laser train. Now that leaf season is over, it was put on the Polar Express. Our favorite conductor had it the other day. He said that the reason the 800-series Rotem is mid-train is its the elves' staging area -- they then spread out to either end of the train to entertain the riders.
