I suspect that you could find more embankment on the west side of the stream that feeds Cuba Lake, if you could get over there.

There's a driveway just west of where Cuba Lake Inlet crosses CR-7D. I suspect that this is TV&C railbed. There's also an edge of a field which lines up with the driveway. Also suspected. IF you can get permission and IF it's not too brushy, you could possibly find embankment at the north end of that field.

All just guesswork, but backed up by decades of photo-interpretation and field research. If the CIA ever needs somebody to locate abandoned railroads, there's probably nobody better than me.

I went to the Rushford golf course yesterday and looked for the TV&C grade.

The owner was there and told me they removed some of the TV&C grade near Hole 6 a few years ago.

He also said that he would show me this spring a cut built by the TV&C south of Hardy Corners Road.

He said his aunt has a silo on her farm that was supposedly shipped to the farm on the TV&C.

Today I headed to "Fairview" on the TV&C.

All traces of the TV&C grade are gone from where it crossed Fairvew Road.

I've attached the TV&C survey map and a 1939 aerial photo that has a faint yellow line where my friend thinks the TV&C grade was.

I have permission to hike. The owner thinks there are traces of the TV&C grade near where the TV&C crossed County Line Road (which is the border between Cattaraugus County and Allegany County).

I hiked yesterday from Fairview Road back to the old County Line road. We eventually found the TV&C. It's visible and walkable east of County Line Road.

Now west of County Line Road, there was a substantial bridge over the creek. We found the TV&C grade on the other side of the creek, but the brush was so thick, we turned back.

We did not have time to hike east of Fairview Road.

The TV&C had a culvert or a bridge over the stream here.

This location is the first survey map above with the stream flowing north.

Just after this location, the grade has been plowed under for a field next to Fairview Road.

I'm hoping to get land owner permission soon to hike east of Fairview Road.

The 3rd photo is Google Maps today. The diagonal line in the middle of the green field could be the raised TV&C grade?!?

On Sunday I found the TV&C grade east of Brookside Road. This section was climbing from Rushford to Summit. I forgot my camera so I do not have any pics.

The grade was in good shape and easy to find. An exDL&W/EL/CR/CSX engineer lives right next to the grade.

I have permission to go back in 2 weeks and get pics.

If that map is right, then there ought to be a culvert or somesuch just north of NY-243. There's a little creek there that it crossed.

I agree with the yellow line on the aerial photo.

^That was the grade I found in the pics above.
