Hello,
Does anyone know when the turntable that use to exist at Greycourt, NY was installed and till when it was in use? I am using passive tense on purpose in this sense because I do not know which railroad or railroads used the turntable. I am leaning towards the assumption that the Erie Railroad built and used the turntable at Greycourt to service locomotives on the Newburgh branch because of the proximity of the turntable to where the branch existed. I take it that the turntable also occasionally turned locomotives used on the Erie Mainline. Do you know if the L&HR had rights to use the locomotive?
Thank you for your time and help.
Sincerely,
Walter Conklin
