The NJDOT Straight Line Diagram for County Route 615 shows East Brunswick on the south side of the new bridge over the South River. Heading north from that bridge (the road is designated North-South), Sayreville is to the west, Old Bridge to the east, with the roadway being the division line. CR-615 is the division line between Sayreville and Old Bridge all the way up to Ernston Road, where it becomes all Sayreville.

Caught the SA03 heading across Bordentown Ave towards the Gillespie branch. Dropping of 20 gondolas,

Power was:

CSX 8815

CSX 4419

and

NS 1700

Met another railfan there too. Hey - what was your name again? You tried to catch SA 33's run to Dayton - but I decided to call it quits - sun was too low.

Power update from yesterday(4/5/09) was all CSX; two YN 3, 8813 and 4412 along with 4428 in CRQ Blue. Have they finally gotten rid of NS 5284?! That things been hanging around for a long time now.

Just FYI - NS 5277 in CR blue was @ Browns Yard this morning when I left for work. So was CSXT 4428 in CR blue and some other CSX YN3 -- I believe it was 8813 or 8815.

I heard SA02 was on the move - but I believe it was up headed towards Silverline. No idea what the power was.

I snapped a pic of 5277 - but I can't get it off my camera until I get home. Won't be a great pic - another one taken on my portable.

A quick ride past Browns this morning showed only CSXT 4412 left in the yard with no sign of CSXT 4428 or NS 5277. I hope they are just getting topped off over the holiday and CR blue will stick around through the spring.

Whats interesting about that shot is the two variations of the Conrail Quality logo on 5277 and 4428. Notice the Can Opener logo goes one way on 5277 and the other way on 4428. I never knew there was a difference in the Quality paint schemes.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but a quick search did not give me an answer.....what is train symbol "JR2"?? I know about OI16 being the Oak Island to Browns transfer; is this a similar run? I heard the Coast line dispatcher give them the signal at Wood today, and realized I was not familiar with this symbol.
Thanx for any help........

YPJR01,02,03,04,07 ( they change the numbers everyonce in a while) Harken back to the 80's when it was the New Jersey Division. JR stands for Jersey Releif. All JR jobs work the rest days of other assignments. JR-02 works in place of the YPPR08 on Saturday and Sunday, the YPOI16 on Monday and Tuesday, and I think the YPPR20 on Wednesday with Thursday and Friday as its rest days. All other JR jobs work in a simmilar manner and may work different Yards on different days, making them different from say the YPPN-R1 which is a Port Newark releif job all to itself.
