Point of order regarding the 9B IATA code...

IATA does what's called "controlled duplicates" particularly with rail bookings but also with tour operators and other entities which can be combined on a standard booking/ticket.

9B might decode to another rail company, but with the origin and destinations in different geographic regions, the accounting and booking related messaging gets routed accordingly.

Yes. It was in my earlier lists. I hope I haven't made too many other mistakes. :(

[wiki]List of airport rail link systems[/wiki] subdivides the link further into intercity/high-speed rail, regional/commuter rail, urban rail, airport light-rail systems ("people movers"), and bus links to rail stations.

Canada: Toronto YYZ: regional rail -- Montreal YUL: u.c. urban rail -- Vancouver YVR: urban rail -- Calgary YYC (spur from urban rail) - Edmonton YEG (extension of urban rail) - Ottawa YOW: u.c. urban rail
  • YYC ~ 4 mi Martindale Sta
  • YEG - 13.5 mi Century Park Sta
In () is a possible rail connection.

Of the airports of the 6 railed Canadian cities, Tor YYZ and Van YVR have existing urban or regional rail connections, Mon YUL and Ott YOW have under-construction ones, and Cal YYC and Edm YEG have possible ones that are extensions of their existing systems.

For the US, for urban and regional rail connections, busiest airports first:
  • Existing direct connections: ATL, DFW, DEN, ORD, SEA, SFO, MSP, PHL, SLC, BWI, DCA, MDW, HNL (u.c.), PDX, STL, CLE, BUR
  • Existing ALRS connections: LAX (u.c.), JFK, MIA, EWR, PHX, OAK
  • Existing intercity connections only: MCO
  • Possible direct connections: MCO, LAS, CLT, IAH, HOU, SMF, PIT
  • Possible ALRS connections: BOS, FLL, LGA, SAN, BNA, DAL, SJC, ONT
  • Unwilling to speculate: AUS
  • Short-distance urban rail: DTW, TPA, MSY, MCI, CVG, JAX, MKE, MEM
  • No urban rail: RDU, SNA, SAT, RSW, IND, CMH, PBI, OGG, BDL, CHS, ANC, ABQ, OMA, RIC

Checking on Orlando MCO, I've found that the SunRail route goes surprisingly close, with the airport's site advertising a bus connection to the Sand Lake Road station. Measuring the distance, I find it to be about 5 miles.

SLR is to the northwest of the airport, and the other nearby station, Meadow Woods, is to the southwest. The Brightline station is at the south end of the station, and a SunRail spur to that station would branch off near MW. It also would be about 5 miles long.

    Allow me to add one:

Berlin Brandenburg (EDDB/BER) trains, be they S-Bahn or Regional, operate every fifteen minutes to the Hauptbahnhof, and making stops such as Bahnhof Ost. Additionally, some stop at Berlin Zoo which is in the heart of former West Berlin. Fare is €4,40; should you choose to buy a daily or weekly pass; you will need to buy for three zones.
