I Would like know more about this railroad. I've seen the boxcars in Baltimore, and hoppers, but I can't find any information about it. All I know is that it was 15 mile railroad and ceased operations in 1992, they used SW1500's, and MP15's in the later years.

The Lake Erie, Franklin & Clarion had its origins in a railroad originally chartered as teh "Pittsburgh, Summerville & Clarion" at the turn of the last century.

The LEF&C operated under that corporate name from 1913 through early January of 1993 when the line was abandonded, mainly due to the downturn in coal mining in the area.
