I was hiking up the abandoned portion of the Southern Division from about a mile north of Elm into Wharton State Forest to see if I could find anythin of interest along the line, I had old track diagrams with me. There is a town of Parkdale that shows up on the line a few miles north of Elm, but there is no sign of such a town now. In my reasearch on the town I have read that the NJS/CRRNJ had ome kind of a stop at Parkdale but there was no other info. Does anyone have info on exactly where the stop/station might have been and what it might have looked like? There is a sizeable clearing immediately south of the wooden beam bridge that crosses the Sleeper Branch Creek, it seems like it is the only level place for there to have been a stop at this time, but this might not always have been the case. Anyone know anything about it?

in the book "CNJ Station Structures and Marine Equipment" it gives the following info for Parkdale

Parkdale: Cranberry Park was established in 1871. The name was changed to Parkdale in 1878. In 1888 a small, one story frame station was constructed. The station was retired in 1940.

It then has a picture of the station building - it was a small rectangle building, maybe 10 feet deep by 12 feet wide or so. a door centered on the front wall, and the picture shows the side wall with a covered up window. There is a "Parkdale" sign hanging from the roof over hang, centered over the door and on the front wall.

The book is showing the station inbetween Chew Road and Atsion stations, but doesn't give any Milepots.

'Parkdale' shows up on the CRRNJ Track Diagram almosty exactly on milepost 98. I have to say I am rather surprised there was a one story structure there, it does not seem to me like the stop would have been important enough for it. I haven't found any evidence of where the station was yet, but I'll search Cranberry Park and see what I find. Thanks.

Parkdale location N 39.72073 W 74.76125

As late as 1948 USGS still showed it on the map:

1872 map of the county shows it as Iron Mill, and shows Cranberry Park just outside (south) of Fruitland (now Atsion), but perhaps a bit north of Parkdale's location? Hard to tell from those old maps but looks like Cranberry Park was a bit north of Sleepy Creek while Parkdale a bit south.
