The seating idea that will allow sleep AND social distancing in post-coronavirus travel

ok, its for a plane , but could such a design be utilised in a train . Seems ideal for the Viewliner style double windows.

They look like they take up a lot of space. I still think the Delta One setup would work better on a train and be much simpler to implement:

Okay, sitting looks good but lying down looks damned uncomfortable... plus it takes up a ton of room. I think a few of us on the forums could do better.

Mr. Wolf, from having flown overseas, and since 1990 in Business Class, you can sleep, at least Eastward, well enough. I'm about as "light a sleeper", and even more so considering my 79yo age, as they come (the Air Force even marked my medical records' no overnight duty - days or swings only).

The "pods" are one thing for airline maintenance; something else for Amtrak.

A return to open sections would be cheaper and make much more efficient use of vertical space. So would a modern version of the Slumbercoach.
