Word has reached me that tonights SU-99 will be one to watch... Power should be one of the CSX GP-38's, then the four road units(3618, 3020, 3634, 3612), then the local power(3040, 2066, 1800, 1802). Apparently all the local power is being moved north for storage/disposition.... You folks MAY want to go out for this one......

What does "hospital train" mean?

Will the train be head ended by all nine (9) locos?

A True "hospital train" would be a move with equipment that cant move in a regular train. Moving engines that are dead in tow on SU-99 does not qualify it as a Hospital train, Just a sad site.

Train left the Little ferry yarsd at about 2030, and it was a night time run most of the way. Upon arrival at BH, and a recrew, the 2066 and 1800 were place in to storage, listed ans stored-servicable. The 3040 and 1802 remain in service. Out of service units at Bingo include: 2064, 2062, 1804, 2300, 2302. the SY-1 crew went north today with the CSXT 2624, NYSW 3040, and NYSW 3022. the 3022 will be interchanged to CSX at Syracuse, and moved to Utica for assignment. the 3040 will eventually be sent there, but thats down the road a bit. Also, look for the re establishment of a UT-1 crew, which had been recently abolished.

I thought 2012 and 3042 are being stored as well.

I have heard from a reliable source that they are currently OOS with mechanical failures.

They have both been OOS for quite some time now.
