I am not sure if a similar thread already exists for this question, but does anyone happen to know specific examples of steam locomotives in revenue service? In the U.S. and around the world? Not counting heritage museums such as Strasburg, I think some answers would be some lines in Bosnia, China, a fireless steam locomotive or two in a plant in Germany, and sugar cane lines in Indonesia. A line in Poland also used to run steam locomotives for commuter service, but these locomotives are soon to be retired if not done already. For the U.S., there would be UP 844 in excursion service even though it was never retired, SMS Rail Lines/New Hope and Ivyland 9 is being restored for revenue freight service, and San Luis and Rio Grande 18 has been noted to pull a few revenue freights. I think Strasburg might count since they sometimes use their steam locomotives to pull revenue freights, but correct me if I'm wrong. Are there any others out there?
