I use many spots in Hutch, but I mostly use the BNSF, UP Diamond, sure to the traffic that goes through. Its a damn good spot too....places to sit, and its right by the BNSF yard. I saw a caboose the other day

Have you trekked to the BNSF (ATSF) bridge over the Arkansas River?
If so, is it easy to get to?

I'd like to catch the WB Amtrak running late some morning crossing the river.

Unfotunately, no. I'm from the area though, Great Bend and LaCrosse.
I had caught Amtrak many times out of Newton.

Do you have a pic online of the bridge, with a train crossing it?
