I've been shortlining as a crew lead/conductor for 3 years going on 4 in jun. I love railroading being out in the rain does not bother me. I worked in the rain for 8-9 hours straight with no breaks or lunch. Recently BNSF has put out positions available for a primary recal conductor trainee specificly in richmond, ca. Now keep in mind I do have a kid and am married. i make 45k a year and i have to ask is it worth leaving a stable sanction to go into the deep....and unknown of being hired on and furloughed? Anyone ever work that terminal? any help/feedback from the Vets are all welcomed and will be greatly appreciated.
