When Seatrain still operated to Cuba, did the rail cars go far into Cuba? When the US stopped trading with Cuba did any fright cars get left behind?

Thanks

Seatrain abandoned their Havana route in 1953, long before the Cuban revolution.....so no, no U.S. cars were cut off in Cuba. Prior to dropping the route, cars were interlined between US roads and any destination in Cuba served by the Consolidated Railroads of Cuba and the United Railways of Havana (provided it was standard gauge, or course). The Consolidated Railroads of Cuba had their general headquarters in Grand Central Station, New York.
