Amtrak 21 (24) running abt 2.5 hours late due to service disruption last night south of STL near Cadet?, MO. Car vs train. Could have been worse.

I can concur the Shenandoah did indeed have a full 10-6 sleeper at least circa-1980. Rode in the sleeper Cincinnati to Cumberland. Rode again before it's discontinuance w/o sleeper c1981. Wish I could have ridden that Amsleeper!

If I may add, there also was a former NYC baggage car for storage at the coach yard in Chicago for many years. Not sure if it is still there however.

Seems there will be a re-route for #5-6 between Creston, IA and Lincoln, NE due to sandbagging, etc for rising Missouri River, at least as of Monday 6/23.
