Great, thanks for the info! Really though, how many people do you think read the schedules and have zero idea about how the system works. They have notes about F trains, why not just put a note on this too?

37 views and no replies? Does anyone know the answer? I'd rather not put my wife on the train if she's going to be left in Beverly.

Newburyport/Rockport (Beverly)

It's been a long time since I've been on this board, as I've moved and started working from home, so no commuting, and little traveling via train. I've checked and re-checked the Newburyport/Rockport schedule, and while it SEEMS that the 10:40 out of North Station drops you at Beverly where you dise...

We live along the Haverhill line, and I swear, a train just came by with an Acela engine!

what's up with that?

Everyone here knows what I meant by 'orange line'. The one colored orange on the map, regardless of it's actual name designation. I'm not sure if I'm not being clear, or others aren't actually reading my posts. I need to get from Newark airport to W 22nd St. anywhere between 5th and 8th. Is there a ...

I know this is blasphemy, but would it be better to take a cab to Newark Penn from the airport instead of a train or bus we may have to wait at least 30 minutes to catch?

I'd go with NJT Bus 62 to NWK and switch to the PATH there. You'll have to switch to a 33rd Street train at Journal Square. PATH accepts MTA Pay-Per-Ride Metrocards. This routing is cheaper then taking the train from EWR. This seems to be saying to take a bus from the airport to Newark Penn station...

Thanks. I may not have been clear, so this is what I meant. We'll have a courier bag each, so that's no big deal, and a baby in a stroller - sort of a big deal, but he's 1 and likes to travel. So the idea was that we fly to Newark Int'l., get on NJT 1 stop to Newark Penn, get on PATH to lower Manhat...

New To PATH

Hello, We're flying into Newark on Thursday, and need to get to Chelsea. Should we get on NJT all the way to NYP to the subway, or get 1 stop to NWP, and PATH to Manhattan? It's twice as much to take NJT basically 1 more stop into Manhattan, I think. If we take PATH, can we get to 23rd st on a PATH ...

I used my stored value CC to get 2 people, me and my wife, on the subway.
Then we both got on a bus.
The first tap said 'transfer' (or whatever), the second tap took the full bus fare.
Shouldn't both rides have received the transfer since we both took the subway first?

Are they going to replace the OL signs with non-backlit, like the RL?
