Nope.....
You would have think they would have figured out that having a train heading west from Jamaica making local stops in Queens would not show up on track 3 & 4 and express trains on tracks 1 & 2. They then have to cross over each other causing 1 train to wait.

They ignored the riders.
In this particular case, the train was clean, but I still don't see that it makes a difference. 1762 may have been a turn from an incoming train. But it doesn't have to be. At 5:30 in the evening, there are trains leaving GCT every 3 minutes. Some are turns from incoming trains, others are put-ins....
G - From the new Ronkonkoma Branch timetable: Train #1960 eastbound PM Peak Leave Penn Station 4:01 PM; Kew Gardens 4:17 PM; Arrive/Leave Jamaica 4:20/4:21 PM; Mineola 4:34 PM Hicksville 4:42 PM then all stops (except Pinelawn) to Ronkonkoma-Arrive 5:20 PM Previous train: 3:31 PM; Next train: 4:34 ...
Was the whole train completely packed or just the first few cars? I've ridden trains out of Penn where the first two cars were standing room only but the last two were almost empty and I had a three-seater to myself......... For now trial-and-error is the name of the new LIRR game. When all of this...
Of the branches that go to the two Manhattan stations, all but one alternate between Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal. That one is the Long Beach branch, which alternates on weekdays and goes only to GCT on weekends except in the middle of the night. Of the stations between Manhattan and Jam...
Only the MTA could have a project delayed by something that doesn't suck enough..

Opening date January (notice they didnt say what year....)
Also saw a story from Newsday saying that the entire project won’t be done till FEB 2023 but that trains may start rolling into the new terminal by the end of this year… Hopefully After promising for nearly five years that the project would be finished by the end of 2022, a new report notes that co...
Looks like in normal MTA fashion, ESA is delayed again.....

I think I know the answer but I'm interested in other's opinions.whats the difference?? 90% of everything that didnt stop in jamaica still stopped but didnt open the doors
this is because A) not enough bilevel cars and b) not enough dual mode engines. This problem should have been solved in 1998.
