One thing I did notice is that if you choose to buy an OMNY card, all that is mentioned is that you have to put a minimum of $1 on it. There is no mention of a $5 cost for the card. So do I understand correctly that you can buy a combo ticket ONLY using the app, NOT from a TVM or ticket window. If so that stinks. https://new.mta.info/fares/combo-ticket You can buy the Combo Ticket at a ticket office, from a ticket vending machine, or in the TrainTime app on your mobile device.
