The fact that they were pumping major capital investment into Rumford precisely as those other things were happening and did not cancel that project is probably pretty relevant to their overall plans

Rumford just got a huge upgrade at major capital cost and downtime. I know it's easy to panic after past issues, but switching 1 machine and temporarily cutting a small part of the mill workford in teh meantime isneither new, nor indicative of a long term major problem. Paper machines get converted ...

NIce to see those reports from a month or two ago with car counts on the RUmford branch back up to normal, assume that is still the case and a sign that the mill upgrades are finally complete?

Think is, they HAVE been painting, so far all I've seen is CP/CP repaints so the only question will be, do KCS units get repainted at all, and if so will they be normal CP or CPKC. So far nothing to suggest anything but CP paint for CP units. Usually if anything RRs are over-optimistic with this sor...

Probably pie in the sky but the idea of the Baldwin retunring to life switching a potato processing facility there is certainly cool. As other have already said, bwteen I95 truckers omce t road was completed, bankrupt 1970s Penn Central letting undelivered potao loads freeze in their yards or on the...

MIll at Rumford shoudl be fine, they have done and/or are doing major upgrades.

Traffic and/or track conditions may have issues, but the *mill* should be the best it;s been in decades.

Time will tell but pretty sure that at least near term a "CPKC" paint scheme is a myth, They almost certainly wouldn't be continually churning out :canadian Pacific: locomotives a year past d-day if the railroad;s scheme is not going to be "canadian Pacific" for the foreseeable f...

Thanks Greg S, that is what I thought but was consfused by some recent Tues PM 394/wed AM 393 reports here. I guess there was somes sotmr damage etc so maybe that is why they were off sometimes, or maybe those were "extra" days here and there in addition to the normal "schedule".

I haven't learned the silly csx symbols yet either. They go by L-whatever on the radio? And yes, my question on ph1 was that you meant they take the gravel off nhn. I'll be passing through that area on or about this coming weekend or early next week and again either the following weekend or early th...
