Remember, the EL went bankrupt in 1973? So the Trustees started divesting assets.
The EL was in talks to be acquired by the C&O/B&O -at least the Souther Tier. At the last moment they were included in the Conrail System.
Believe the Spirit of Youngstown conveyed over to CSX in 1999.
