I HAD a consist book, circa 1963, which unfortunately was lost when my garage was being cleaned out. It showed mail and express boxcars to/from the West Side terminal in Manhattan, NY that were ferried to/from Harmon where they are added to the diesels that were put on Steel Fleet trains, such as #1...

The signal outage on the 9th involved Phil and Hook interlockings, many intermediate automatic signals at stop and proceed. After about hrs from when it began about 4 pm the trains really started to stack up.

Do the new cars have both high-level and low-level platform loading capability?
If high only, they can not be used on former EL lines.

Was there a derailment on the NECR April 9 or 10th? If so, what train and where?
I notice Amtrak's Vermonter has not run from St. Albans since the 9th.
Thanks

I believe CP 53, just north of Cold Spring on the Hudson Line, is good for 80 MPH.
Not sure if there are others on the Mets.

From what I could hear on the scanner feed, train 2500 was routed from 1 to 2 to 4 at Phil. Normally a routine move from the NEC's West Chester Line. Apparently SEPTA TK 4 was de-energized that morning for repairs. All subsequent
northbounds routed via TK 5.

Following the failure of train 2150 near Bridge interlocking on Jan 17, 13 Acela runs were canceled
over the next 36 hrs. 2150 had pantograph issues - I wonder if whatever he had was checked out on
the other train sets?

Metro-North's Hudson Line was shut down both the morning of the 10th and today
the 13th for several hrs. Trains were turning at Beacon and Cortlandt. When I lived
in Albany 1976-2001 I don't ever remember the Hudson Line being shut down for
high water.

48 this morning had 64 axles (normal 52). I observed the train from the Fairport cam and observed one extra engine, one extra coach and a deadhead sleeper on the extreme rear. It appears the LAKE SHORE has been handling an additional coach every other day since Tues the 19th.
