Not sure if there are others on the Mets.

The Crescent 20 has been sitting and all the crew says is derailment and no details.

From what I could hear on the scanner feed, train 2500 was routed from 1 to 2 to 4 at Phil. Normally a routine move from the NEC's West Chester Line. Apparently SEPTA TK 4 was de-energized that morning for repairs. All subsequent
northbounds routed via TK 5.

How often is the CARDINAL hauled by an ALC-42?
Andy
M415 derailed at Magnolia.

The ADIRONDACK and MAPLE LEAF generally change power at Albany-Rensselaer because the Canadians
are not qualified to maintain the dual mode P32AC-DMs.

Following the failure of train 2150 near Bridge interlocking on Jan 17, 13 Acela runs were canceled
over the next 36 hrs. 2150 had pantograph issues - I wonder if whatever he had was checked out on
the other train sets?

Metro-North's Hudson Line was shut down both the morning of the 10th and today
the 13th for several hrs. Trains were turning at Beacon and Cortlandt. When I lived
in Albany 1976-2001 I don't ever remember the Hudson Line being shut down for
high water.

It appears that all service on the Empire (NY-ALB), Harrisburg, Springfield along with the entire NEC
are affected.

48 this morning had 64 axles (normal 52). I observed the train from the Fairport cam and observed one extra engine, one extra coach and a deadhead sleeper on the extreme rear. It appears the LAKE SHORE has been handling an additional coach every other day since Tues the 19th.
Andy
49-21 had a Horizon coach first out (assume it was deadhead) and an extra coach (assume it was from NY).
First extra coach I've seen since last Christmas season.

On the 18th, the Shore Line was closed to Amtrak trains for about 6 1/4 hrs due to fallen branches/overhead
wires near Canton Jct. What I don't know is why the last Amtrak west of Boston before the shutdown, 171,
lost 5 hrs BOS-Providence. Did they hit a tree or pull down the wires?
Thanks
Andy
Was the Providence Line (Amtrak Shore Line) shut down during the day on Dec 18 due to trees/wires down
somewhere between Route 128 and Providence?
Thanks

Why are some saying that a piece of machinery knocked down a CAT pole?
Andy
Yes
