X-Construction on Android

I found a new game on the Android Market called X-Construction where you build a bridge and then you hit "Play" that runs a train across the bridge to see if you contructed your bridge properly.

Depending on level of catastrophe, there is the sound of people screaming.

Re: CharlieCard / Ticket discussion

If I was that concerned about losing the value of my CharlieCard, I would scan the front and bank of the card which also contains the serial number. If you went to the T with that printout, they might be able to do something for you with looking up the serial number of your CharlieCard. They would b...

The movie "21", always "Express to Davis"

There are two scenes in the movie 21 on the Red Line, and in both scenes the LED displays show "Express to Davis". In the first scene, it is feasible he is express to Davis for some reason. In the second scene, they stop at Quincy Center which is quite obviously not Express to Davis which is in the ...

New Customer - Lexus!?

Lexus could have their cars delivered via rail, and it's right at the end of the Watertown branch. Would they do it? Probably not, but that would be interesting to see the last bit of the line dual track with ramps to let the cars off, and just drive across School Street to the dealer. :)

"Next Fall" for the Blue Line cars

From today's chat on Boston.com : bps: Has there been any planning done on attempting to get the Red, Orange, and Blue lines using the same cars? Daniel_Grabauskas: We are currently adding new cars to the Green Line as you may know. You can expect to see new Blue Line cars next fall. In fact we are ...

Yes, we definitely need to stop 1 out of every 5 cars that drives into Boston on the MassPike and on I-93 from the North and South. Cars are obviously a security threat because they can hold thousands of pounds of explosives, as opposed to humans who are walking. Since the swab tests take less than ...

I used to ride the commuter rail from Ruggles to South Station, and they never checked fares. This was always around 8PM or so.

LA - House lifts tunneling ban on Red Line extension

The House voted Wednesday to lift a ban on tunneling through West Los Angeles, clearing one obstacle to extending a subway line from downtown Los Angeles to the beaches of Santa Monica. The unanimous voice vote came on a bill by Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Los Angeles, the same person who pushed through t...

I was at Porter today and i think they are starting to Charlie-ize. There is conduit coming out of the secondary token booth along the ceiling, and an area next to the primary token booth is closed off with worker equipment.

Just to clarify, it is Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel that is the new standard. We already had Low Sulfur Diesel for years.
