There was an article in the St Johnsbury VT newspaper earlier this week about a group of individuals who are trying to make the line fron St Johnsbury VT to Whitefield NH into a rail trail. It said in the article that the owner of track is CSX Transportation. Can anyone tell me how and when they too...
NHCR rail crews have been up down The tracks with the Hi-rail pickup a couple of times over the couple of weeks. Friday they took an excavotor up the tracks from Page Hill RD in Lancaster. There is bridge up there . Came back about 45 minutes later not sure what they did.
NHCR 7324 came south thru around 0930 this morning. Not sure what they brought south. Anybody Know? returned around 1230 . they stopped at the old GOGO Gas for lunch (now Lancaster House of Pizza). Headed back to north to Groveton .

Maine track works was on the line last week from Groveton to Hazen. the had their pick up and 2 pieces of track equipment. One of them looked ballast related the other I am not sure.

Track crew is working today on the line. They were in Lancaster at 700AM headed south with a number of pieces of equipment. I believe the name on the boom truck was NRM Rail services. For the first time in well over six months there was some activity on the line this week. Yesterday a Boom truck came south thru town marking and laying the new railroad ties that will be replaced at some point alongside the track.
I would think this will wind up in court. NS dumped a lot of money to upgrade Mechanicville NY to Ayer Ma . I believe it was somewhere north of 700 Million and I doubt they will go quietly . I do a fair amount of intermodal business for work with CSX thru Worcester and Springfield MA and I do not se...
