Speaking of which, has there been anything on the 101/102 accident at Lansdowne Ave.? I haven't heard anything on that since the day it occurred.

Cost effectiveness is a major , if not the top, consideration. Basically, they did get the most use out of them, and now retention ...

That's good news. That section has been excepted track for years. My old home used to back up to the R3; I missed the overnight rumble of the ballast train.

That first picture, as noted above, is indeed the Sharon Hill line where Springfield Road meets Woodlawn and Pennsylvania Avenues. West Chester/Media Line bridge would be behind the photographer. The gas station on the left is now a small park, and there is a current SEPTA stop behind the trolley.

Can you imagine riders on the 102 heading to the airport with luggage? Would there be room for that on a modern vehicle?

That's what I'm hoping for. I work in the city, but the hours that I commute really don't mesh with Regional Rail schedules, so, personally it wouldn't be a daily-use situation. I would like the ability to get into Philly via train for other times, though. I agree with you on 422. Anything to lighte...

I can't recall if I read, or someone in Clifton Heights (I'm a former resident) told me, that if the rails were pulled from the 102 ROW in the borough, SEPTA would lose the rights.

Rode the Media line into Suburban today. First platform reader at Clifton wouldn’t read the Key card, second one did. Conductor just did a visual check, and told me to tap out when I got into the city. An ambassador at the Suburban turnstiles told me not to tap out; tapping out begins “on the first”...

I think that, if the Navy Yard was selected, solutions would come rather quickly.
