I seem to remember one in downtown Framingham just in front of the RR station where Rt. 126 crosses.

Milford News last night listed that the nighttime rail construction has been delayed until July 17 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Driving by the rt. 16 crossing in Hopedale on Friday, I saw new tracks waiting for installation - looks like it won't be long until Milford will be reconnected.

Taken of the SNE bridge abutments over the Blackstone River in Blackstone & Millville.

2 Miles is quite possible, it is probably more dependent on the terrain of the area.
I live less than a mile from the P&W, in Millville but cannot hear the train until it is well over 5 miles away in Uxbridge, just the way the sound carries through the valley.
